Featuring the music of Ralph Vaughan Williams and Morten Lauridsen and performed by The St. John’s Orchestra, adult choir of St. John’s and guest choir from The Cathedral of the Incarnation in Baltimore. The violin soloist and concertmaster is Ronald Mutchnik and the guest conductor is Dr. Dale Krider. A memorial donation to “Friends of Music,” formed to fund the orchestra’s 2008-2009 performances, or a $15 ticket is required for admission (under 18 free when accompanied by an adult). The performance takes place at the historic St. John’s Episcopal Church at 4:00 p.m. on November 9. Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks is opening Freestyle, a new teen drop-in center at Ridgely's Run Community Center, 8400 Mission Road, Jessup. The center, designed by teens, for teens, will offer a choice of hanging out with friends, playing basketball and video games, listening to music, having a snack at the Snack Shop and other activities. The center will be open from 6pm to 9:30pm August 7, August 21, September 11, September 25, October 16, October 30, November 13, and December 4th. The cost $5. Registration is not required. Holiday Festival of Trains at the B&O - Baltimore Station
