Holiday Festival of Trains at the B&O Ellicott City Station offers a brand new custom built, multi-level operating O-scale model train layout, a Thomas the Tank operating G-scale model layout, an O-scale crazy train layout, a push button children's layout, and the Freight House's permanent HO model train layout. Opening weekend Civil War Santa will greet visitors and sign his book, We Were Marching on Christmas Day. Children may visit Railroad Santa on Saturday, December 10 & 17 inside the Station's Red Caboose. Frosty the Snowman makes appearances on December 3, 4, 11 & 18.

Shake, rock and roll the winter blues away, as Dads (or special adult) and daughters are invited to join the Department of Recreation & Parks for an evening of fun, dancing, games, crafts and an ice cream bar. For ages 4-12 years old, the fee includes participation for one adult and one child ($32 for center members and $40 for non-members); each additional daughter is $16 for center members and $20 for non-members.
