Sint Maarten/St. Martin 2008 Gallery
| back to Photography |

Located at the northern end of the Lesser Antilles, approximately 180 miles east of Puerto Rico, lies the idyllic island of St. Maarten. This tropical treasure, collectively known as “the culinary capital of the Caribbean,” is home to approximately 77,000 English-speaking inhabitants, and boasts 37 breathtaking white sand beaches, luxury resort accommodations, amazing shopping opportunities and a wide range of outdoor activities.

Well what can I say about the Caribbean? Very nice place indeed, with warm and completely clear water, nice places to eat and we visited quite a few different beaches. The flight on the other hand was utterly terrifying! We went out over hurricane Ike, and the turbulence was very bad indeed, and there was quite abit of crying and screaming on the flight but we got there in the end. However I have been back many times now with no problems at all even though we go off season in August (hurricane season lol).
