I have been feeding the wildlife in my garden since 2002, in which 2005-2006 I began feeding in earnest, which includes 150 lbs of corn a week plus 50lbs of sunflower seeds a month. And wow do they all get through it, of which you can see a wee gallery on all the wildlife that travels and lives in my back garden, if you like. The deer above was "The Old Girl" and she had a tear mark down her left eye and her right foot had been broken but repaired itself with a large lump. She really had a great personality and was very protective of her young, as well as being quite a kid herself on many many occasions.
I last saw her running across my back garden towards the bread I had thrown down for her, she always looked up at me on the deck squinting her eyes and with a huge grin on her face! I miss her tremendously as one does by forming any relationship over a period of 4 or 5 years.
